Tahiti is the largest of the 115 islands that comprise French Polynesia, which is often called as "The Island of Love". It comprises of two islands, Tahiti-Iti(big Tahiti) and Tahiti-Nui(small Tahiti), joined by a narrow isthmus. Tahiti's historical name is Otaheite. Papeete is its capital city and it lies in the northwestern coast.
